Bid to win Banksy's Living Room - Banksy Graffiti Art!
Artist: Banksy.
Title: Banksy's Living Room - Banksy Graffiti Art.
Year created: 2011.
Medium: Mohawk #115 Fine Art Paper.
Edition: Numbered Limited Edition of 80/300.
Description of piece:
Location: Regent’s Canal, Camden London, UK. Dimension: 36” x 24” This piece, Banksy Living Room, is a great example of Banksy’s signature use of satire and illusion. The artwork consists of a street scene where a drab, rough concrete wall is transformed into a cozy "living room" through simple white chalk-like line drawings. These drawings include a fireplace, a lamp, a chair, and other household items. However, the clever part is how Banksy integrates real-world elements into the piece: • The fishbowl has real, three-dimensional goldfish, one of which appears to be "jumping" out. • A small aquarium in the artwork mimics a framed picture or television. • The setting appears to be an urban environment, possibly an abandoned or neglected space. Banksy’s Graffiti Art is the most comprehensive official photographic record of the artist’s work. Photographers documented Banksy’s pieces within hours of completion, using large-format cameras to capture their strategic placement and interaction with surroundings. Over the years, these curated images formed the exclusive Forever Collection of high-quality prints. Each photographer was compensated for their work, retaining full copyright ownership. This print is produced on Mohawk #115 Fine Art Paper with 5 to 9 Pantone ink colors, embossed with the Banksy’s Graffiti Art official logo, and includes a Certificate of Authenticity.
Artist bio:
Bio: Banksy is an anonymous graffiti artist who may have been born in Bristol, England. He came to notice as a freehand graffiti artist. Banksy displays his art on publicly visible surfaces such as walls and self-built physical prop pieces. He is known for his anti-authoritarian art, often done in public places. With wry, wit and stealth, Banksy merged graffiti art with installation and performance art. The “street” is where Banksy made the world take notice. Each work was done on the fly, creeping around in the dark, getting paint on his hands and mud on his denims, carefully avoiding the police and the public.
