Since she began her career as Fonzie's fiancee on Happy Days, Linda's career has been prolific and she has had some of the most memorable roles on television (Pioneer Woman, Matlock, Homeland, The Officer), film, theatre and in music.
Linda Purl is thrilled to be back on the road with her new concert tour Midnight Caravan: Celebrating the Great Ladies of the Glamorous Nightclub Era. Midnight Caravan salutes the great women singing stars of the 1940s and '50s - from Ella Fitzgerald to Judy Garland to Rosemary Clooney - as they reign over the swanky, sexy supper clubs of the era. From sultry ballads to hot Latin jazz arrangements of Broadway tunes, the show features classic standards like My Romance, Shall We Dance and Caravan, and conjures a nighttime world where the surroundings are posh, the drinks keep flowing, and nobody goes to bed before three.
Purl has toured extensively with her solo concert Come Rain or Come Shine, with Lee Lessack in tributes to both Berlin and Mercer as well as with Gregory Harrison in A Night to Remember. Her recordings include the solo albums Alone Together and Out of this World—Live with special guest Desi Arnaz, Jr.
Linda is currently recurring on the new CBS drama Reckless; has recently been seen in recurring roles on True Blood as Barbara Pelt, The Office as Helene Beasley and on the Emmy Award winning Homeland as Elizabeth Gaines. She has starred in over 45 made-for-TV movies, and is especially known for her series roles Charlene Matlock on Matlock and Ashley Pfister, Fonzie’s fiancée, on Happy Days.
Her performances on Broadway include the Tony nominated musical The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and Getting and Spending, and The Baby Dance. She has toured regional theatres extensively. Credits include The King and I, Oliver, On a Clear Day You Can See Forever, Three Penny Opera, The Merchant of Venice, A Streetcar Named Desire, The Road to Mecca and The Year of Magical Thinking.
Midnight Caravan, the CD, is released on LML Music.
