Description of piece:
Jude Law and Ewan McGregor in the Bathroom” by award winning Maltese and British celebrity photographer Lorenzo Agius. The great affinity between Jude Law and Ewan McGregor dates back to the times when the two actors were not yet famous and they shared a small apartment on Primrose Hill, in London, along with other friends who would become famous themselves, like Johnny Lee Miller, Angelina Jolie, Sadie Frost. The friendship between Ewan and Jude has therefore lasted for more than 25 years and even today it is not uncommon to find the two actors together, drinking a coffee or sharing the same place for the holidays. Agius still remembers the day the two actors showed up for the photoshoot: “Jude was reluctant at first, he didn’t know how the shots would come out and above all how they would be interpreted by the public.” Any doubts have vanished also thanks to colleague Ewan McGregor. Together they had a great time. “I couldn’t make them stop laughing anymore, to make funny and risqué poses. As for the bathroom shots, Jude pulled down his pants and panties and sat on the toilet with a newspaper in his hand, while Ewan undressed completely and got into the tub! As they posed together, they looked like a real and perfect couple.” Six of Agius' iconic works are part of the permanent collection at the National Portrait Gallery, London. The artist has been an Ambassador for Canon Cameras since 2008 and has exhibited at The Getty Gallery, London alongside other notable exhibitions in Moscow, Paris, Cannes and the UAE.
