Mexican-American abstract painter, Edgar Medina, in collaboration with presenters, nominees and winners at the 22nd annual Latin GRAMMY Awards®, shares a new 48” x 72” work celebrating Latin culture and its ties to deep artistic expression. Inspired by bold colors, vibrant music, and a deep sense of the passion of life, “Rhythms of Imagination” brings these emotions to life on canvas. Showcasing art as a collaborative effort, Medina weaves in vignettes and pieces of canvas created by Latin Recording Academy talent in the days leading up to the 22nd annual Latin GRAMMY Awards®.

Edgar Medina’s paintings are considered Contemporary Abstracts: they are expressive, full of color, energy, bold and inspirational. The scope of his work varies, each series has a different vision and is infused with a positive message that encourages him to believe in self and inspire others. Collectors initially love the aesthetic of his work, but also fall in love even more with the inspiration and message behind it. Edgar finds inspiration in nature’s untamed colors and the vibrant fusion of both his Mexican and American cultures.
