With beginnings in beauty, she is an internationally recognized global authority in beauty, fragrance, wellness and alternative health. She continues to expand her services and her unique strategic expertise now serves various business sectors.
Recently, DeBaun was the business strategist and architect behind the Yes Way Rosé wine license and its introduction into Target stores. Since it's introduction last year, Yes Way Rosé has been the number one selling wine in Target. DeBaun orchestrated a successful restructure and merger of Aloebiotics Research Labs. She led the venture as President and CEO. At ARL, DeBaun invented the patent-pending active ingredient Alasta®, commercialized Aloeride®, invented a patented, natural preservative alternative and created the Sustainable Youth® brand and all of the company’s intellectual assets. DeBaun pioneered the multi-billion dollar private-label bath and body specialty-store retail concepts for Victoria’s Secret, Bath & Body Works, Henri Bendel and Abercrombie & Fitch—all notable and valuable brands in today’s marketplace.
As Vice President of Marketing for Calvin Klein Cosmetics DeBaun created the Eternity, Obsession and Obsession for Men fragrance lines. She also directed domestic and international brand marketing, product and packaging development, public relations, advertising and creative services. These fragrances revolutionized the fragrance industry and as sales skyrocketed, Unilever took notice and acquired the company. Prior to Calvin Klein, DeBaun was Director of Marketing with Warner Cosmetics for Ralph Lauren fragrances, cosmetics and skincare, as well as the Paloma Picasso and Gloria Vanderbilt fragrance lines. In addition to these accomplishments, DeBaun was Marketing Director for Oscar de la Renta fragrances and Brand & Operations Director for Geoffrey Beene’s Grey Flannel and Red fragrances. She has made public appearances, including Oprah and Lifetime Television, and has served on the Board of the Joffrey Ballet and Helping Hands. She lives and works in New York where she creates businesses, products, brands, concepts, opportunities and value for people who don't know they need it yet, and for some who ask. She consults with clients, founders, entrepreneurs and influencers worldwide and has published her first children's book, Starry I.
