At The Moth, we believe that one of the best ways to take care of one another is by listening to and sharing true, personal stories. Since 1997, The Moth has celebrated the ability of true, personal storytelling to illuminate both the diversity and commonality of the human experience. Our experience over the years has only deepened our belief in the transformative power of true, personal storytelling and how it can open doors of understanding, inspire hope, and build community.
As a nonprofit organization, we run on donations from supporters like you to continue to bring personal storytelling to all corners of the world. Every gift is deeply appreciated, and will be thoughtfully used to support over 600 live storytelling shows annually; The Moth Radio Hour, airing on over 570 public radio stations; The Moth Podcast, our free weekly podcast downloaded nearly 100M times/year; our newest series Grown, reaching millions of listeners each week; and The Moth's Education, Community Engagement, and Global Community workshop programs, which teach students, educators, and others how to uncover, craft and share their own unique and unforgettable stories.
