SoCal Fire Fund

Support page thumb

This fund is focused on providing flexible funding assistance for immediate and long-term needs, case management to help navigate government and local services, as well as educational and well-being resources to those impacted. Led by the CAA Foundation, we have brought together a coalition of best-in-class organizations - Community Organized Relief Effort (CORE), a global humanitarian organization that empowers communities in and beyond crisis, the LA Unified School District Education Foundation, and the Entertainment Industry Foundation (EIF), the creative community’s trusted partner in philanthropy. Please note that the fund is administered and set up at EIF.

The scope of these losses calls for a robust, compassionate, and flexible response—one that prioritizes the immediate and long-term recovery needs of affected individuals, families, and communities.

More details on what this fund will provide:

Flexible Funding Assistance (EIF, LAUSD Education Foundation, CORE): We will identify the most vulnerable through our cohort of case workers to provide monetary assistance to families in need while they rebuild their lives. By offering immediate cash relief, we ensure that those in need can address urgent needs such as temporary housing, food, medical care, and transportation. Immediate and long-term flexible funding allows impacted people to direct these funds where they are most needed, without red tape or delays.

Case Management Support (CORE): We aim to connect our most vulnerable community members to available government and local resources. Through long-term recovery and rebuilding efforts, we offer case management assistance necessary to rebuild homes, repair essential infrastructure, and restore livelihoods. This phase of support will help individuals, families, and communities stabilize and plan for a future beyond immediate survival.

Well-being and Educational Resources (LAUSD Education Foundation): We support affected students and schools with transitional educational and well-being services, ensuring that students can continue their education and maintain their well-being during these challenging times. We will also partner with neighboring school districts, including the Greater Los Angeles Education Foundation and the Pasadena Education Foundation to support impacted students and school employees throughout the region.
