Nice Management and Consulting, founded by Steve Nice, is a full service management and consulting company specializing in composer, music supervisor and artist management, synch licensing, and radio promotion consulting.
Steve began his career in 1996 at Capitol Records rising to Sr. Director, Alternative/AAA Promotion. Over the course of 8 years he worked with bands such as Coldplay, Radiohead, Beastie Boys and Foo Fighters. In the summer of 2004 he joined New West Records, where he spearheaded AAA and Alternative promotion campaigns for Ben Lee, The Drive-By Truckers, and John Hiatt. In 2005, he joined indie label Dangerbird Records as a consultant overseeing all Radio Promotion and Synch Licensing, including the Silversun Pickups single, "Panic Switch" which topped the Billboard Alternative Radio Chart, a first in 11 years for an independent artist. By 2009, Steve began primarily focusing on growing Nice Management and Consulting.
Nice Management manages film and television composers, music supervisors, artists and songwriters, Siddhartha Khosla (Three Time Emmy Nominated for NBC’s This Is Us, Hulu’s Only Murders In The Building), Amanda Jones (Emmy Nominated for Apple TV+ Home, Showtime's Twenties), Jeff Garber (Netflix's Virgin River, The CW’s Nancy Drew), KOVAS (Netflix’s On My Block, HBO’s The Cost Of Winning), Shirley Song and Jina Hyojin An (Netflix’s The Princess Switch 3) and Mike Fiore from Faces On Film (Netflix’s The Life We Lead) to name a few.
Additionally, Steve manages Grammy winning artist Van Hunt, UK artist Scars on 45, Musician, Composer, Songwriter, and Producer James McAlister (The National, Sufjan Stevens) Music Supervisor’s Derryck “Big Tank” Thornton (The Chi, BMF), Gary Calamar (Titans, Six Feet Under), Qiana Conley (Flatbush Misdemeanors), Amine Ramer (Camp Crip), Janine Scalise (The L Word: Generation Q), Ben Hochstein (“On My Block) and Greg Danylyshyn (Burden).
Over the span of his 25 year career in the music industry, Steve continues to represent artist through his synch licensing division. He has placed music in several films, including the second installment in the hit Twilight saga, New Moon, and television shows such as ABC’s hit drama, Grey's Anatomy, Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why and Atypical, HBO’s Insecure, Showtime’s Shameless, the CW’s Riverdale and Nancy Drew and NBC’s The Blacklist. He has also placed music in commercials for several major brands such as Google, Apple, Nike and Chevy- as well as in video games such as Guitar Hero, EA Sports’ Madden, Tony Hawk and Rock Band.
Steve has also been a radio promotion consultant for multiple record labels including Capitol, Republic, Sub Pop, RCA, Atlantic, Barsuk and Vagrant Records, working with such artists as Ed Sheeran, Vance Joy, Portugal the Man, The Marias, Elle King, Florence and the Machine and Arcade Fire.
