Artist bio:
Arsh Pal is an extraordinary young man and artist. In 2022 he was a recipient of The Diana Award, named after the late Princess, for using his talent in art to donate money to charities and teaching others painting as a way to heal. He was initially inspired by his mother, Divya Pal, and her work as an occupational therapist at a nursing home in their home town of Dubuque, Iowa. He would accompany his mother to work and engage the residents in conversation. That experience of kindness led Arsh to decide that he would create art and donate the funds to charity. He has far surpassed his initial goal of $1,000.00 in sales, which was donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and his charitable donations have already exceeded $16,000.00.
Artist Ehsan Khanaman is renowned as the creator of the Vision of Unity and Peace —an original art installation of 2,000 hand-painted, double-sided, paintings that when placed together covers over half an acre. This masterpiece took over 20 years to create and will become the crown jewel of his planned VOUP Centers which will feature a 17-story monolith. The VOUP Centers will be a home for the world to meet, reflect and help one another. Ehsan is one of the most important and influential artists in the world and an ambassador of peace. After reading about Arsh in publications like the Washington Post and hearing his story on the syndicated Bobby Bones radio program, Ehsan approached the Arsh family about an artistic collaboration. Ehsan states: “I was incredibly moved when I learned about Arsh. He is selfless, kind, wise and a very talented artist. I was thrilled when he agreed to collaborate with me. People who donate to St. Jude Children’s Research hospital are heroes."
