About Julia Franz:
Julia Franz joined Fox Entertainment as the head of comedy programming and development in September 2019. She currently oversees the second season of Call Me Kat, which in its premiere season was television’s #1 new comedy. She’s also preparing for the launch of two new shows, Pivoting and Welcome to Flatch, airing this coming winter. Franz began her career as a programming executive at The Walt Disney Company in 1995, rising through the ranks from an entry-level position at Touchstone Television to ultimately running the entire creative department at ABC Studios. In her role as head of creative at ABCS, Franz oversaw the creative direction of the studio’s slate of network and cable series, which included Grey’s Anatomy, Lost, Scrubs, Desperate Housewives, Ugly Betty and Criminal Minds. As a producer, Franz worked on three seasons of Men at Work at TBS (w/FanFare) and one season of State of Affairs at NBC (w/STX). She also worked as a consultant for Platform One Media, an independent TV studio, to help them in their efforts to build and launch their first slate of projects. Directly prior to Fox Entertainment, she worked at Spectrum Originals where she served as head of scripted development and production.
About Alana Romoff:
Alana Romoff is currently Executive Director, Comedy at FOX Entertainment. She is responsible for a slate of development and current programming that encompasses live-action comedy, animation, and longform/features. Prior to joining the network, Alana was a key member of the team at Gail Berman’s Sidecar Content Accelerator. She also worked at Berman’s independent mini-studio The Jackal Group, where she oversaw the development and production of the company’s scripted television projects, ranging across cable, broadcast and streaming platforms. Prior to joining The Jackal Group, Romoff was a development executive at Lionsgate Television. She began her career at Principato Young Entertainment after completing her Masters in Critical Studies at the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts, where she was named an Annenberg Fellow for her research on political satire and television comedy.
