Experience the unique flavors of the region; from the Napa Valley floor and it’s surrounding mountainsides to the Sonoma Coast. This 8-pack includes:
Ferren is a winery dedicated to tiny lots of artisanally made single-vineyard Chardonnay and Pinot noir wines from the far Sonoma Coast of California. Each of the vineyards in the portfolio is a jewel of the true Coast, has been hand picked based on its potential for producing profound, age-worthy wines, and is farmed to the highest standards of sustainability and wine quality.
Angwin Estate Vineyards: The 2013 Angwin Estate Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon is ruby purple in the glass. Hints of lavender and violet give way to aromas of strawberry and vanilla. The mouthfeel is voluptuous with flavors of bright red and black fruit accompanied by cedar and graphite. Hints of fig, coriander, and pipe tobacco blend seamlessly with well- integrated tannin. The extraordinarily long finish that characterizes our best vintages is on display here, with hints of spice and fruit that seem to extend to the horizon. The 2013 Angwin Estate Vineyards "The Kissing Trees" is a well-balanced combination of fruit and exotic spice with a touch of vanilla. While it is our second label, it is made from the same fruit with the same care as our first label. It will not be as long lived and opens easily for a beautiful drink now experience.
“Mount Veeder is a magical place—a rare and beautiful spot where vines cling to the steep hillsides, producing tiny, concentrated berries that give our wines their big, bold, brambly fruit character." —Janet Myers, Winemaker
The Shafer Merlot Story: "Merlot was the wine that put Shafer on the map in the early 1980s. We were producing a Cabernet Sauvignon and a Chardonnay but so was everyone else in Napa Valley. When Shafer Merlot started showing up in retail shops and restaurants, people took notice. Merlot is a difficult grape to get right in the vineyard and the cellar and it falls in and out of favor with critics – doesn’t matter. We love this lush, soulful variety and look forward to producing it vintage after delicious vintage."
