Since a member must be present to play these private courses, the 4th person is member and affiliated with the donor. This package also includes a 2 night stay at Philadelphia Marriott West.
Philadelphia Country Club was one of the first six members of the USGA, and the golf course hosted the U.S. Open in 1939. It also hosted the 1899 U.S. Women's Championship, the 2003 U.S. Women's Amateur and co-hosted the 2005 Men's Amateur. Golf includes an 18-hole golf course, as well as a 9-hole golf course added in 1990 to celebrate the club's one hundredth anniversary. The 18-hole championship golf course is known as the Spring Mill Course and the 9-hole golf course is called Centennial. The club has two practice areas. The main practice area features a driving range, putting green and separate short game chipping area. The second practice area features a practice hole and practice putting green.
Merion Golf Club is a private golf club located in Haverford Township, Delaware County, Pennsylvania, a suburb northwest of Philadelphia. The club has two courses: the East Course, and the West Course. The East Course has been consistently rated in the top 10, #5 in 2015, by Golf Digest in the annual "America's 100 Greatest Golf Courses", and it has hosted five U.S. Opens, most recently in 2013.
Aronimink Golf Club is a private country club located in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania, a suburb west of Philadelphia. Its championship golf course is consistently rated among the top golf courses in the United States. Aronimink is currently ranked 78th inGolf Digest's "Greatest Courses," 44th in "Toughest Courses" and 55th in Golfweek's "Classic Courses."[4][5] In 2010, Aronimink was ranked #4 among the toughest courses on the PGA Tour by Links Magazine.[6] The club has been host to multiple USGA and PGA championships in its history.
