The Flamboyan Arts Fund was created as a partnership between Lin-Manuel Miranda, his family and Jeffrey Seller, producer of HAMILTON. The creation of the Fund, which coincides with Miranda’s return to the title role in HAMILTON January 8-27, 2019 at the University of Puerto Rico (main campus in Río Piedras), will be dedicated to supporting institutions and arts groups as well as independent artists, musicians, galleries, etc., to ensure that the rebuilding of Puerto Rico includes the nurturing of the island’s vibrant arts and culture.
The Flamboyan Foundation was chosen to house the Fund because of its decade-long track record of strengthening education in Puerto Rico and their deep commitment to and presence on the island.
ABOUT FLAMBOYAN FOUNDATION
The Flamboyan Foundation is a private family foundation based in Puerto Rico and Washington, DC. Flamboyan believes that, ultimately, people solve problems. To solve complex societal challenges, they need strategic support and impact-driven best practices and tools.
We work at the intersection of education, government, business, strategic philanthropy, and the non-profit sector, equipping leaders, teachers, and community members to improve educational outcomes for children through catalytic, results-driven collaboration.
Founded in 2006 by Vadim Nikitine and Kristin Ehrgood, Flamboyan center on the founders’ beliefs that change is possible, and that it requires more than money. They see the Flamboyan Foundation as a vehicle to solve problems in education and use the foundation’s financial and human resources strategically to bring multiple stakeholders together to drive progress.
