An accomplished author, Fran received the prestigious NCCS writer's award for Cancer Schmancer, which was a New York Times bestseller as was her autobiography Enter Whining. A 16-year uterine cancer survivor, Fran turns pain into purpose through her leadership as a cancer advocate. Her mission is to shift America's focus toward proactive healthcare. As Founder, President and Visionary of the non-profit Cancer Schmancer Movement, she focuses on three prongs to fight the disease: Early Detection, Prevention and Advocacy. The organization’s early detection Fran Vans provide free mammograms to women without access to health care. A Grammy, Emmy and Tony award winning artist with 30 sterling years and global record sales in excess of 50 million, Cyndi Lauper has proven that she has the heart and soul to keep her legion of fans compelled by her every creative move. Lauper recently became a New York Times Best Selling author with her autobiography – Cyndi Lauper: A Memoir – published by Simon & Schuster and wrote the original score for the Tony award winning best musical Kinky Boots.
